Some kind of interworld is coming to Materia this fall, in an exhibit by artist Cyndie Belhumeur. Between the machine and the living, the technical and the organic, the artificial and the natural, the artist presents two textile works suggesting opposite readings, yet constructed as an organism. They symbolize an expanding, mutating reticular assembly in which information flows and overflows.
