Join us for the opening with the artist on Friday, March 31, 2017, from 5 p.m. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In Vitro<\/strong> is an exhibition stemming from the research that the artist carried out for her PhD in philosophy with a specialization in art glass earned at the University of South Australia in 2014. Honouring the collective experience, Caroline Ouellette\u2019s proposal invites visitors to take a break and let the works play with their senses, their memory. In constant evolution, the artist\u2019s work voluntarily leaves room for interpretation and interaction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this exhibition, Materia pursues its mission by featuring the work of a promising artist, and highlights the importance of supporting research and development of material knowledge for the accomplishment of its mandate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About Caroline Ouellette<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Caroline Ouellette has been working with glass since 1996. In 2004, she cofounded the Welmo Glass Studio in Sainte-Julie with Patrick Primeau. For many years, she has been making pieces for shops specialized in fine crafts as well as unique pieces for the galleries.
