Happy Holidays!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Labo<br \/>\nnouvelles propositions du bijou de cr\u00e9ation au Qu\u00e9bec<br \/>\n<\/strong>a collective exhibition<br \/>\nat Materia from November 11 to December 25, 2016<br \/>\nopening on November 11 from 5 p.m.<br \/>\ncommented visit on November 16, noon to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u00e9bec City, November 1, 2016 \u2013 <strong>From November 11, Materia is showcasing the collective exhibition Le Labo \u2013 nouvelles propositions du bijou de cr\u00e9ation au Qu\u00e9bec in collaboration with the Galerie Noel Guyomarc\u2019h. Sixteen emerging Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois creators are presenting unprecedented, surprising, innovative pieces of jewelry. The opening is on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 5 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Le Labo <\/strong>is a project initiated in 2010 by Noel Guyomarc\u2019h. Devoted to creation, exploration, experimentation and reflection, it enables many young creators to understand contemporary jewelry pieces and to grasp the expressive possibilities in the field of jewelry. The creations from the Labo have been seen in numerous national and international exhibitions, and many of the artists have been awarded prizes and honours.<\/p>\n<p>With this exhibition, Materia showcases the extent of the jewelry practice in the province of Qu\u00e9bec. It is with great pride that we are presenting the work of Anne-Marie R\u00e9billard, Annie Loiseau, Catherine Granche, Catherine Sheedy, \u00c9milie Dell\u2019Aniello, \u00c9milie Trudel, Gabrielle Desmarais, Isabelle M\u00e9tivier, Karine Rodrigue, Katia Martel, Lidia Raymond, Magali Thibault Gobeil, Mariane S\u00e9guin, Marie-Maude Brunet, Nazanin Rostami, and V\u00e9ronique Roy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Noel Guyomarc\u2019h<br \/>\n<\/strong>Noel Guyomarc\u2019h has been working in the field of contemporary jewelry for over 25 years. In 1996, he opened his own gallery, acting as a curator, disseminator, promoter, and adviser. He has organized more than national and international level 90 exhibitions, both individual and collective. He has been regularly invited to sit on juries and give conferences, and he also is an appraiser for the Mus\u00e9e des beaux-arts de Montr\u00e9al. Since 2010, he has been directing very successful creation workshops.
