On a celebration note, the opening will be held on Friday, July 3, at 5 p.m. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>This year, Centre MATERIA will exceptionally host a summer exhibition to mark its 15<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary. To have even more reasons to celebrate, MATERIA is partnering up with \u00a0l\u2019\u00c9cole de joaillerie de Montr\u00e9al to present the retrospective exhibition designed to highlight the 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of its foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition <i>40 ans de passion, de cr\u00e9ation et de formation<\/i> takes a look at the evolution of jewellery in Quebec through the achievements of the founders, teachers and students of one of the most important jewellery training centers in the province. In this 3-part visit, curator Catherine Sheedy, jeweller and educator from L\u00e9vis, showcases the pieces of 52 artists, selected by a jury and characterized by their timeless, innovative craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>With this exhibition, Centre MATERIA wishes to show the extent of the practice of jewellery in the province of Quebec.
