Join us at the opening and meet the artist while discovering his recent sculptures.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Anomalies<\/em> is an exhibition of Langlois\u2019 latest works inspired by the shape of the evergreen\u2019s cones. Skillfully using steel and aluminum, the artist offers a new interpretation of a natural living structure. Those transformed evergreen\u2019s flowers acquire an anomalous and paradoxical quality.<\/p>\n<p>Centre MATERIA is proud to fulfill its mission by presenting the work of an upcoming local artist and one of his active members, highlighting the importance of the implication of the local community in the Centre\u2019s duty.<\/p>\n<p>St\u00e9phane Langlois was born in Saint-Marc-des-Carri\u00e8res, Portneuf. Following his studies in sculpture at Maison des m\u00e9tiers d\u2019art in Quebec City, he became a professional sculptor in 2002. Using various materials such as wood, metal and even snow, his works were shown in many solo and group exhibitions and symposiums. In 2007, he realized a first public art sculpture for the Coll\u00e8ge-des-J\u00e9suites library.
