Québec City, March 21, 2017 – From March 31 to May 14, 2017, Materia is welcoming In Vitro, an exhibition by fine glass artist Caroline Ouellette. Join us for the opening with the artist on Friday, March 31, 2017, from 5 p.m.

In Vitro is an exhibition stemming from the research that the artist carried out for her PhD in philosophy with a specialization in art glass earned at the University of South Australia in 2014. Honouring the collective experience, Caroline Ouellette’s proposal invites visitors to take a break and let the works play with their senses, their memory. In constant evolution, the artist’s work voluntarily leaves room for interpretation and interaction.

With this exhibition, Materia pursues its mission by featuring the work of a promising artist, and highlights the importance of supporting research and development of material knowledge for the accomplishment of its mandate.
